Sorry about the delay, I’ll fill you guys in, but I’ve been pretty busy lately. That’s because well… I moved! Moved to Covington Kentucky for an engineering internship! I am taking a Co-op Session this Spring Semester in order to work and learn what it means to be in industry!
(Please excuse the Cincinnati stock image, I haven’t had time to use my camera yet😭)

Leading up, I was kinda worried. I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into, and well, I guess I was right. I really enjoyed the work I am doing at my internship, but the issue is that I have no clue what to do after work. Right now, I have been scouting different gyms out, including your old faithful LA Fitness (lol), an athletic gym, and also the University of Cinci Gym too.

(The “LA” Fitness place I went)
I have only checked out LA Fitness, but I’m sure when I go to other places, I can compile everything and even possibly make a guide online??? I’ll have to see of course. Over break, my laptop broke, so I had buy a new laptop. Dropping $500 has never felt worse…
(no way, stock photo of the HP Omnibook 5 Laptop AI that I bought????????)

Anyways, I also had a fun Chicago trip with some friends too, going to many places, such as the Bean and the Starbuck Reserve.
If you guys can’t tell, alot has happened with my life, so don’t worry, I’ll fill you guys in with the coming days, I got so much content for the blog, I have no excuse to post every day!
Yearly Theme and Plans
With the new year, I feel that there is so much riding on it. “Its the start of a new beginning”, there is always so much pressure put onto the beginning of the year. And that’s where resolutions are made for the new year.
“I want to go to the gym every day!”
“I plan to cook every meal from scratch!”
“I will travel the world!”
I will go to space this year!”
These are all reasonable resolutions (maybe except the last one lol), but it doesn’t making a resolution will help.
Following from the great CGP Grey (PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO), I’d much rather make a yearly theme based on things I want to do. A year is way too long for us to make concrete goal, as goals, expectations, and ourselves change throughout the year. The beginning of last year, I would have even believed myself if I told him I was working in Kentucky, and will be working in Italy later this year! That’s why I would rather make a theme.
(more random online image, but this time, graphics)

So what is a theme?

A theme is somethings that will set the precedent or reasoning for your decisions and choices. For example, 2 years ago, I had the theme of health. In order to reach this, I focused on learning more about physical and mental health, slowly changing my lifestyle. I started going to the gym more often, and started getting involved into sports. I got into badminton, pickleball, and recently, trying to pick up basketball! mental health wise, I got alot more aware of what takes up space in my mind and what drains me. I’ve been more aware of social media usage, and cut down on my screen time slowly, and phased out reels, shorts, or whatever short form videos out of my life slowly too. It’s always a slow process of improvement, where the goals and expectations change as time progresses, where rigid resolutions can’t adapt.

This is what has worked for me, and please let me know how you do your new year goals too! If resolutions work, tell me I’m wrong! I hope this was interesting to share, and maybe, instead of just sharing things that happened and showing it, I could shift my blog on reflection of experiences throughout the year. In terms of showing more of what I learned, I was also thinking about making videos on guides on traveling, housing, idk man give me some time, I can figure something out with my youtube content. Bit of a ramble, but I am trying to think of a direction to take my youtube content before I start posting. Obviously I shouldn’t sit on it for too long too.
Thank you guys for reading, if you wanted to know what my theme this year is by the way, it is:
Year of Exploration!
